Job Description

We are a growing company seeking a field supervisor with experience in road construction and underground utilities. This role is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, supervising crews and subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, ensuring safety compliance, tracking installed materials, and delivering high-quality work according to company standards and project specifications. This position works closely with Project Manager to provide daily updates regarding project progress, installed materials, labor productivity, scheduling impacts, safety concerns, and field operations.

Project

Coordination & Field Operations
  • Supervise all daily construction activities and field personnel
  • Coordinate crews, subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, and equipment
  • Plan and organize daily and weekly work activities
  • Monitor project schedules and ensure project milestones and deadlines are met
  • Coordinate work sequences to prevent delays and operational conflicts
  • Identify and resolve field issues promptly to minimize schedule impacts
Materials Tracking & Project Updates
  • Track all materials delivered, installed, and pending on-
  • Maintain accurate records of materials being installed daily
  • Provide updates to Project Manager Sam regarding installed materials, shortages, delays, and schedule impacts
  • Verify all materials meet project specifications prior to installation
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and protection of materials on-site
Crew Supervision & Leadership
  • Supervise field crews and subcontractors daily
  • Assign tasks and monitor crew productivity and performance
  • Ensure crews follow project plans, specifications, schedules, and safety requirements
  • Inspect crews daily to ensure proper material usage and installation practices
  • Responsible for ensuring all work trucks are clean, organized, properly stocked, and maintained according to company standards
  • Inspect crew trucks daily to ensure cleanliness, organization, proper material storage, and compliance with company standards and safety requirements
  • Ensure crews maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas at all times
  • Address and correct crew fault activities, unsafe behavior, policy violations, poor workmanship, and performance issues promptly and professionally
  • Hold crews accountable for professionalism, productivity, cleanliness, safety compliance, and overall jobsite conduct
Safety Management & Compliance
  • Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies
  • Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safety briefings
  • Ensure proper PPE usage and safe work practices
  • Perform routine safety inspections and hazard assessments
  • Correct unsafe conditions and violations immediately
Incident Reporting & Documentation
  • Immediately report all incidents, injuries, accidents, and near misses to management
  • Complete detailed incident and injury reports accurately and promptly
  • Ensure all required company and OSHA forms are completed and submitted properly
  • Document witness statements, photos, corrective actions, and safety findings
Documentation & Reporting
  • Complete daily reports and field documentation accurately
  • Track labor hours, equipment usage, installed materials, and project progress
  • Provide daily field updates to Project Manager Sam regarding project progress, safety concerns, crew productivity, and scheduling impacts
  • Maintain organized records of inspections, incidents, deliveries, and change orders
Qualifications
  • Previous construction supervision experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and compliance standards
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple crews and deadlines
Compensation and Benefits
  • Employer-provided housing is available for candidates requiring local accommodations, subject to availability.
  • Salary is negotiable based on experience.
  • Medical, Dental and Vision insurance available after 60 days of employment.
  • 401k, Holiday Pay, PTO (Paid Time Off) after 6 months
  • Schedule is typically Monday through Friday. Must be available on weekends.
