Civil Superintendent

The Civil Superintendent is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of civil construction projects within Primoris Energy Services - Civil Group, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

• Manage and oversee all aspects of civil construction projects, including earthwork, grading, concrete pouring, foundation work, and underground utilities.
• Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring critical milestones are met and proactively addressing potential delays.
• Supervise and direct field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality control standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents to ensure accurate project execution.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status.
• Manage project resources, including equipment, materials, and labor, to optimize efficiency and control costs.
• Participate in project meetings, providing input on constructability, scheduling, and problem-solving.
• Prepare daily reports, progress reports, and other required documentation.
• Implement and enforce environmental protection measures on site.
• Assist in the resolution of design conflicts and field issues.
• Mentor and train junior staff.

• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in civil construction supervision, preferably within the energy or heavy industrial sector.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex civil projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and equipment.
• Expertise in interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and best practices, with OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to travel to various project sites as required.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED required;
  Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
