As a Mobile Safety Manager, you will be a vital part of our Concrete Strategies safety team, providing essential support to Project Staff. Your role involves the implementation of corporate safety and health standards to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
In this full-time, traveling position, you will help foster a zero-injury safety culture on each project.
Responsibilities- Assisting in the development and implementation of the project safety program.
- Conducting thorough jobsite orientations for new employees and managing participation records.
- Engaging in initial meetings with project staff and subcontractors to clarify safety roles.
- Documenting pre-planning safety meetings with subcontractors to establish site safety procedures.
- Facilitating regular safety meetings to ensure compliance.
- Training site personnel according to OSHA and Concrete Strategies standards.
- Keeping logs of subcontractor toolbox safety meetings.
- Reviewing subcontractor safety programs for compliance with project safety requirements.
- Ensuring subcontractors designate qualified safety representatives with the authority to address safety issues.
- Conducting daily and weekly jobsite inspections, documenting violations, and initiating corrective actions.
- Stopping unsafe acts immediately and reporting violations responsibly.
- Assisting in the development of fire prevention and emergency evacuation procedures.
- Investigating incidents and generating comprehensive reports.
- Maintaining all safety records as required.
- Conducting monthly safety overview meetings and participating in project staff meetings to discuss safety concerns.
- Performing additional duties as needed.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and management skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of safety experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in building construction.
- Solid understanding of safety and environmental principles.
- OSHA 30‑hour construction accreditation is required.
- OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer certification is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
