About This Role Join a civil construction crew in San Antonio as a Civil Concrete Carpenter building, aligning, and installing formwork for foundations, walls, slabs and structural elements. You'll work from plans and grades to ensure safe, accurate concrete placement on jobs like roads, utilities, and site development. Day-to-day you'll build, set, brace and strip forms, install embeds and bulkheads, verify elevations and dimensions, and coordinate with other trades.

Experienced carpenters may lead complex layouts, mentor helpers, and help enforce quality and safety in the field.

What You'll DoConstruct, set, brace and strip formwork for slabs, walls, footings, columns and related civil structures

Perform layout and verify levels, grades, dimensions and elevations using tape, laser, transit or level

Read and interpret blueprints, civil drawings, specifications and project documents to meet tolerances

Install bulkheads, embeds, ties and accessories; prepare forms for concrete placement and finishing

Operate hand and power tools safely; maintain tools and clean work areas; coordinate with crews and inspectors

What We're Looking For Previous experience as a concrete carpenter or form builder on civil construction projects (preferred 2+ years)
Proven ability to read and follow construction drawings, layouts, grades and specifications

Skilled in measuring, cutting, building, aligning and bracing formwork for concrete placement

Physically fit for heavy lifting, climbing, working outdoors in all conditions and standing for long periods

Strong focus on quality, safety, teamwork and reliable attendance

QualificationsOSHA 10-hour construction card (preferred) or willingness to obtain

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sitesCPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain

Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check

Spanish language skills a plus

High school diploma or GED (preferred)
