Bypass Laborer

Position Overview

SAK Construction is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Bypass Laborer to join our Bypass Operations Team in San Antonio, TX. This position is responsible for assisting with the setup, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of bypass systems while ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and with the highest regard for teammates, customers, property owners, and the public. The ideal candidate is a dependable self-starter who can communicate effectively and always represent SAK Construction professionally.

• Arrive at location (shop/job site) as directed by foreman/ crew lead the day before
• Punctuality is of the most importance (we are normally on a tight schedule, especially on smaller jobs)
• Receive and follow direction without hesitation/ ask questions if you do not understand
• The schedule of this position can be demanding at times- 7 days a week, day, night or swing shift
• Availability to travel is a must (typically 3 weeks at a time) can be shorter if the schedule calls for it

• Valid driver license
• Ability to pull a small trailer
• Reach lift experience
• Positive attitude
• Poly pipe fusion experience

• CDL
• Confined space certification
• Pipe fabrication/ bolt up
• Bypass monitoring experience
• Mechanical experience with engines and or water pumps
