Real Estate Construction Estimator

Responsibilities

Real Estate Estimators generate construction estimates and budgets , to provide a clear understanding of cost for feasibility and decision-making purposes.

As a Real Estate Construction Estimator I or II, you will prepare construction estimates and budgets to make essential Corporate planning decisions.

• a related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
• 2+ years commercial general contractor estimating, preferably in grocery and/or retail
• Detail oriented, with the ability to interpret drawings, construction plans and specifications
• Experience in new store commercial construction estimating, preferably in retail and grocery sectors
• Strong collaborator across cross functional departments

• Responsible for various financial functions such as estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
• Performing Value Engineering exercises
• Discovers and drives new ways of using information to impact business decisions and results
• Provides complex analysis and recommendations to drive efficiencies

• Trains, mentors, and transfers knowledge to fellow team members

• Excellent analytical and time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in one-on-one / group situations, with the ability to effectively work within all levels of the organization
• Excellent verbal / written skills
• Advanced facilitation and project management skills
• Advanced PC Skills
• Ability to work complex issues with senior management using highly-developed influencing skills
