Director of Construction

Directs activities of workers concerned with construction projects by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

• Responsible to manage the day-to-day operations of a project
• Issuing and managing the R.F.I. process
• Responsible to hold subcontractor to contracted work
• Creating 3-week look ahead schedules
• Experience creating and understanding project CPM schedules
• Keep daily logs
• Attending all weekly or bi-weekly site team meeting with architects and bank inspector
• Taking the lead on weekly foreman meetings
• Must be proficient in Micro-soft project and Excel
• Working with the assigned CM to review /negotiate/ approve all subcontractor invoices associated with each contract issued
• Will need to have strong communication skills to work with city and special inspectors on-site
• Attending weekly or bi-weekly team meetings on the site
• Working closely with city officials for construction permits related to each project
• Quality control of all work-taking place
• Must have good communication and problem solving skills
• Creating and keeping project files organized.

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or a minimum of 8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have multi-family housing experience
