A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their San Antonio team. This is a local opportunity for a Project Manager with a strong track record managing Class A office construction projects and the professionalism needed to build strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, buyout plans, and overall project execution strategies.
  • Manage contracts, subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate closely with the Superintendent and field team to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and internal team members.
  • Identify and resolve project issues proactively while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, procurement, and project coordination.
  • Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee project closeout, punch list, turnover, and final documentation.
  • Help ensure a high level of client satisfaction and position the company for repeat business.
Qualifications
  • Extensive commercial construction experience with Class A office projects is required.
  • Currently working for a commercial general contractor
    .
  • Proven experience managing complex commercial projects from preconstruction through completion.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional presence and ability to interact effectively with owners, architects, and clients.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven history of successfully delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
Location Requirement
  • Must currently live in the San Antonio, TX market.
  • Local candidates only — this position is not open to travelers or candidates requiring relocation.
  • Must have established experience working on commercial construction projects in the San Antonio market.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a seasoned commercial Project Manager with a substantial portfolio of Class A office projects and a proven ability to manage sophisticated clients, project teams, and subcontractors.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate significant Class A office experience rather than limited or incidental office exposure. Strong client relationships, communication skills, and a track record of successful project delivery are highly valued.
