The Front Desk Team Member will warmly greet and direct members, guests, and staff as they enter the gym, providing control of the front door area. This position assists with member requests, inquiries about gym operations and policies, and performs various administrative duties as directed by the Gym General Manager. As the initial point of contact, the Front Desk is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and a memorable guest experience.

  • Greet each member and guest enthusiastically to create a friendly and positive entrance and departure experience.
  • Ensure security and control at the front door and retail area.
  • Check members in using proper procedures.
  • Monitor check-ins for delinquent accounts and notify management accordingly.
  • Register guests properly upon entry.
  • Direct guests and appointments to the appropriate personal trainers promptly and professionally.
  • Answer guest calls using the gym phone system, take messages, and follow up as needed.
  • Respond promptly to member requests, inquiries, and concerns.
  • Maintain a neat appearance, wear proper uniform attire with nametag while on duty.
  • Distribute keys, towels, and other materials as needed.
  • Process retail and concession sales.
  • Maintain stocked coolers and retail inventory.
  • Attend all staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Keep the front desk area clean and organized according to standards.
  • Log maintenance issues and safety concerns reported.
  • Report any incidents involving members or gym facilities.
  • Adhere to scheduled work hours and company attendance policies.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management, including light cleaning and tidying during gym walkthroughs.
  • Assist with membership sales, including signing up members at kiosks or computers, assigning barcodes, taking member photos, and scheduling free personal training sessions.
  • Handle member account updates, such as payment methods, freezes, cancellations, and agreements.
  • Assist with receiving orders and checking in retail and concession products.
  • Help members register and check in for classes via app.
