** Summary
* * Under supervision, is responsible for the procurement, receiving, storing and issuing of materials, supplies, and equipment to ensure District Attorney divisions are stocked and maintained.
*
* Duties and Responsibilities:
*** Maintains inventory records of equipment, material, and supplies stored on site
* Prepares purchase orders for equipment, material, and supplies
* Receives, inspects, and issues all incoming material and supplies
* Checks and verifies material received against requisitions, shipping notices or invoices to ensure receipt
* Coordinates purchases, deliveries and pickups with District Attorney divisions, Purchasing Department and vendors
* Prepares forms; small to medium scale print jobs for various departments; testing materials, training manuals, case files, information sheets, etc.
* Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of printing and binding tools, implements, and equipment
Performs related duties as required
** Minimum Qualifications**:
* Graduation from High School or General Education Development (GED) certificate, and three (3) years’ experience in an office environment performing administrative functions or in supply, purchasing and inventory control; additional education in a related field may be substituted for experience
* Knowledge of basic office procedures
* Skill in the filing and organization of material; skill in utilizing word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Office Word and Excel); skill in performing basic mathematical calculations; skill in using copier machine, heavy duty paper cutter, and heavy duty binding compound
* Ability to understand and follow instructions; ability to maintain records, documents and compile and organize reports; ability to communicate with diverse groups of individuals utilizing tact and diplomacy; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, County employees and the general public.
* Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation
* Must clear a pre-employment physical
* Must have a valid Texas driver’s license
* May be required to work more than 40 hours during the workweek
** Working Environment and Physical Demands:
*** Working environment is primarily in an office environment
* Occasional exposure to hazardous materials, unfavorable fumes and odors, wet surfaces and high noise areas
* Frequently moves items weighing up to 34-50 pounds
* Occasionally moves items weighing up 100-200 pounds
* Occasionally moves about the office
* Frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information
* Generally operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
* Positions self to perform essential functions
* Must be able to remain in a stationary position
