Temporary contractor role as an employee of Atrium assigned to work at Humana.
The UM Administration Coordinator 2 supports the administration of utilization management for providers. This role is responsible for performing advanced administrative, operational, and customer support tasks that require independent initiative and sound judgment. The position also demands strong problem‑solving skills to address and facilitate Humana members’ access to care needs.
Job DescriptionAs a Utilization Management Coordinator 2, you will be an integral part of a fast‑paced, metric‑driven team responsible for managing prior authorization requests from providers and members. The role involves sitting at a desk throughout the day and handling approximately 30–50 inbound calls from providers, with future opportunities to assist with member calls.
Required Qualifications- Enjoy helping customers via phone (both providers and Medicare members).
- 2 or more years of Customer service experience and/or experience in the health service industry.
- Ability to type at least 30 WPM.
- Taking 30–50 calls per day and the potential to work faxes between calls.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced environment where their day is planned and structured.

- Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative, have strong analytical skills, and strong attention to detail.

- Experience navigating utilization management processes or coordinating care for members.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or a related field.
- Prior member service or customer service telephone experience desired.
- Experience with Utilization Review and/or Prior Authorization, preferably within a managed care organization.
- Proficient and/or experience with medical terminology and/or ICD‑10 codes.

PayRate Range
20–25 USD hourly
Additional NotesThe individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of Atrium; compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by Atrium upon offer. The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, location and/or being pursued and other job‑related factors permitted by law.
In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.
