The Department of Periodontics, Division of Dental Hygiene at the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position focused on providing laboratory, clinical and didactic instruction for dental hygiene students.
Master’s degree in dental hygiene or related field preferred; or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS, DMD, or BDS).
Registered dental hygienist or dentist with a current Texas license.
Three years of clinical experience.
Educational experience, preferred but not required.
Job Responsibilities- Designing and delivering instruction in clinical, laboratory, and didactic settings.
- Serving as a professional role model for students.
- Assisting with the coordination of clinical activities and student schedules.
- Teaching and course administration in the Entry Level, Bachelor Completion, and Master’s level courses, using case-based instruction, group discussion, clinical lecture, demonstration, and simulation.
- Participating in the faculty practice clinic of the department.
