At Alamo City Orthodontics, we believe our team is the heart of our practice. We're looking for an Orthodontic Registered Dental Assistant (Ortho RDA) who is compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional orthodontic care while creating a welcoming experience for every patient and family.
What You'll Do:As a member of our clinical team, you'll help create an outstanding experience for every patient while working alongside our orthodontists and team. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the orthodontist during orthodontic procedures
- Taking digital X-rays, impressions, scans, and orthodontic records
- Bonding brackets and assisting with orthodontic treatment procedures
- Preparing treatment rooms and patients for appointments
- Cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining instruments and equipment following infection control protocols
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
- Educating patients on orthodontic care and appliance maintenance
- Helping keep the clinic running efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service
- Active Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License
- Current BLS certification
- At least 2 years of Registered Dental Assistant experience
- At least 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience
- Strong chairside and four-handed dentistry skills
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Positive attitude with a team-first mindset
- Experience with model pouring and impressions
- Open Dental software experience
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive approach with the ability to anticipate the orthodontist's needs
