Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) - Tier II Potranco Dental and Braces
The best dental assistants do more than keep up with the schedule. They anticipate what the doctor needs, understand what the patient needs, and help create a clinical experience that feels organized, confident, and well cared for.
Potranco Dental and Braces is seeking a Tier II RDA who is ready to take ownership of the operatory, support comprehensive patient care, and contribute their experience to a strong clinical team. This is a hands‑on role for an RDA who can move comfortably between chairside assisting, treatment preparation, lab coordination, clinical documentation, and supporting newer assistants.
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, more than 30 hours per week.
Full-time team members may be eligible for medical, vision, and life insurance, PTO, a 401(k) retirement plan, and in-house dental benefits.
In this role, you will:- Provide efficient chairside assistance during dental procedures
- Prepare operatories, instruments, materials, and treatment trays
- Assist with temporary crowns and bridges, crown deliveries, night guards, bleaching, and suture removals
- Take diagnostic X-rays and maintain complete, accurate patient records
- Complete treatment documentation, lab scripts, and case tracking
- Reinforce treatment recommendations and help patients understand their care
- Support appointment scheduling, re‑care coordination, and daily clinical workflow
- Maintain equipment, inventory, sterilization, and emergency supplies
- Assist with end‑of‑day procedures and clinical checklists
- Help train and support newer dental assistants
Position Requirements
What you bring:
- Current Texas RDA certification
- Current BLS certification
- Two to five years of dental assisting experience
- Experience creating temporary crowns and bridges
- Strong chairside skills and knowledge of dental instruments and procedures
- Excellent clinical documentation, communication, and organizational skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree is preferred
- Experience with orthodontics, Invisalign, dental implants, or iTero scanners is a plus.
