Position Summary
The Senior Project Architect/ Project Architect is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and profitability of each project assigned. The Senior Project Architect works with the CEO and Studio Director in establishing the project design criteria and the development of design concepts which are incorporated into a final product in conjunction with the work of other architects, engineers, and technicians. In consultation with the CEO and Studio Director, the Senior Project Architect/Project Architect is a client‑facing role responsible for planning and conducting work requiring independent judgment in the evaluation, selection, adaptation, and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Responsibilitiesof the position include, but are not limited to the following
- Assisting the CEO and Studio Director in developing project man‑hours and planning schedules for his/her phases of the project.
- Coordinating detailed phases of professional work in part of a major project or a total project of moderate scope.
- Coordinating the layout, design, drafting, and specifications produced by other architects, designers, engineers, and technicians who assist in specific assignments.
- Ensures that applicable codes, construction techniques, and sequences in various projects including all aspects of cross‑disciplines are incorporated and coordinated.
- Exercises professional judgment in areas of contractual liability and standard of care.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD software is required.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with careful mindfulness.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead multidisciplinary project team.
- Organized management of internal team members and external consultants on projects assigned to them.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
- Licensed architect in the State of Texas
- A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in the architecture field.
- Software experience:
Revit and AutoCAD are required.
- Salary commensurate with experience.
