As a BIM Application Specialist
, you’ll support Lake Flato’s Design Technology team by providing application support, developing and documenting BIM best practices, training BIM users at all levels, and partnering with project teams to set up and maintain effective BIM strategies for project deliverables. This position is directed by the firm’s BIM Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Provides support for all design applications (Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Rhino)
  • Develops, documents, and communicates best practices for BIM technologies
  • Develops and conducts training sessions for all levels of BIM users
  • Creates and manages Revit templates and family content
  • Creates and maintains BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud project sites
  • Instructs and assists project teams in setting up models to comply with office standards and best practices
  • Engages with project teams to strategize, employ, and maintain an effective BIM strategy for project deliverables
  • Graphically illustrates and verbally communicates analysis concepts in a clear and effective manner
Knowledge and understanding of:
  • All aspects of professional architectural services, from master planning and schematic design through construction documents and construction administration
  • BIM technologies, workflows, and office BIM standards
  • Expert-level Revit family creation
Ability to:
  • Develop and effectively teach new processes, workflows, and software skills
  • Utilize AI tools and automation across all aspects of the design process
  • Build collaborative relationships with project teams
Skills:
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Sketch Up
  • Experience with BIM 360 Pro, Enscape, and Navisworks
  • Parametric and/or generative design scripting using Python, Grasshopper, and/or Dynamo (Desired)
  • Strong organization and project management
