Commercial Furniture Design & Quoting Specialist

Merge Works, a San Antonio based furniture manufacturer, is seeking an innovative, highly organized, and customer-focused Commercial Furniture Design & Quoting Specialist to join our family. The successful candidate will support our Rep and dealer network throughout the specification and quoting process and have a strong eye for design. This role serves as a key resource for commercial furniture dealers by preparing accurate quotes, assisting with product selection and design, and delivering exceptional customer support.

This is a full time, on-site position in San Antonio, Texas.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in design software and have the ability to think logically and collaboratively to develop tailored product solutions. They are detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and can confidently balance speed, accuracy and customer communication to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This individual will help ensure quotes move smoothly from concept through quotation and order placement.

• Prepare accurate and timely quotes for dealer projects and customer requests
• Assist Reps and dealers with product selection and solution recommendations based on client specifications, product configurations, dimensions, and finishes
• Provide visual representation of offered solutions through the use of CET or other design programs, as needed, in a timely manner
• Communicate with Reps and dealers regarding pricing, lead times, product availability, and revisions
• Coordinate quote revisions and maintain project records
• Manage multiple quotes simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Provide a high level of customer support and maintain strong Rep and dealer relationships, fostering long-term partnerships and repeat business
• Continuously develop expertise in product offerings and product applications

• 4+ years of experience in design, and/or specification within a commercial furniture manufacturer, dealership, or architectural products company
• Mastery of CET
• Strong creative and design background with an eye for layout, aesthetics, and function
• Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Service minded with a love of creating exceptional customer experiences
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Live in, or be willing to relocate, to San Antonio for this full time, on-site position
• Experience creating quotes or estimates
• Experience with AutoCAD, Sketch Up, or related software
• Experience with ERP, or order management systems
