ERO Architects is seeking an experienced, well-rounded Project Architect / Architectural Project Managerto join our growing San Antonio office. This role is ideal for an architectural professional who can move comfortably between project management, design and document production, consultant coordination, and construction administration.
We are not looking for someone whose experience is limited to only project management, production, or construction administration. We are looking for a versatile architectural professional who understands the full project lifecycle and is willing to remain actively engaged in the work from programming and design through construction and project closeout.
The successful candidate will help support ERO’s continued growth throughout San Antonio and South and Central Texas, including projects in the Del Rio, Corpus Christi, Rio Grande Valley, and surrounding markets.
Responsibilities- Manage architectural projects from programming and design through construction administration and closeout.
- Remain actively involved in architectural production, documentation, detailing, and coordination as project needs require.
- Develop and coordinate construction documents with internal team members, engineering consultants, specialty consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Provide quality control and technical review of drawings, specifications, and other project deliverables.
- Lead or support client meetings, design presentations, consultant coordination meetings, and project team meetings.
- Manage project schedules, deliverables, budgets, and internal resources.
- Provide construction administration services, including submittal and shop drawing review, responses to RFIs, site observations, punch lists, and coordination with contractors and owners.
- Identify and resolve technical, constructability, and coordination issues throughout design and construction.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to younger architectural staff.
- Work collaboratively with ERO leadership and staff across multiple offices and project teams.
- Support several projects simultaneously and transition between project management, production, coordination, and construction administration responsibilities as workload demands.
- Travel periodically throughout South and Central Texas to support clients, project meetings, site observations, and construction activities.
- 10+ years of professional architectural experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
- Texas architectural registration preferred, but not required for candidates with strong demonstrated experience and technical capabilities.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, with experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360 for project collaboration, document management, model coordination, and construction administration workflows.
- Demonstrated experience managing architectural projects while remaining actively involved in project delivery and production.
- Strong background in construction documentation and consultant coordination.
- Meaningful construction administration and field experience.
- Ability to read, develop, coordinate, and review complete construction document packages.
- Strong understanding of architectural detailing, building systems, codes, and construction practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a highly collaborative team environment.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel throughout South and Central Texas as project needs require.

More than a specific title or license, we are looking for capability, versatility, and experience.
The right person understands how a project comes together from beginning to end. They can lead a client meeting, coordinate consultants, work through a drawing set, resolve a detail, review a submittal, respond to an RFI, and visit a jobsite when needed.
This is a hands-on position within ERO’s growing San Antonio practice and an opportunity for an experienced architectural professional to play an important role in expanding the firm’s presence throughout South and Central Texas.
