To strengthen our growing Multifamily Studio, we are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Project Manager I with multifamily experience to join our San Antonio team.

The Project Manager I is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and delivery of assigned multifamily projects, with guidance from senior project and studio leadership.

This position is well suited for an architectural professional who is ready to take greater ownership of project scope, schedules, consultant coordination, documentation, and client communication. The Project Manager I may independently manage mid sized projects or defined portions of larger multifamily developments.

The ideal candidate understands the coordination and technical demands of multifamily housing and can help guide projects from early design through permitting and construction administration while maintaining design quality, technical accuracy, and responsiveness to the client.

• Project Delivery: Manage medium-sized or defined portions of larger multifamily projects from design through construction administration.
• Scheduling & Tracking: Develop and maintain project work plans, schedules, milestone dates, action-item logs, and deliverable lists. Monitor project progress against the approved scope, schedule, and fee, communicating potential concerns to Studio leadership.
• Consultant Coordination: Coordinate architectural work with civil, structural, MEP, landscape, interiors, and specialty consultants.
• Communication: Lead routine project coordination meetings, prepare clear meeting agendas/minutes, and maintain regular communication with clients, contractors, and internal team members.
• Technical Design: Coordinate multifamily building plans, unit layouts, unit mixes, accessibility requirements, amenity spaces, parking, and building-support functions. Support code analysis, zoning research, entitlement coordination, and building-permit submissions.
• Documentation: Guide the preparation of Revit models and drawing sets. Review project documents for completeness, interdisciplinary coordination, and compliance with Able City standards.
• Construction Administration: Support CA activities, including RFIs, submittals, field observations, meeting documentation, punch lists, and project closeout.
• Leadership: Coordinate and provide day-to-day direction to architectural designers and production staff. Assist senior leadership with proposals, project scopes, fee development, and staffing plans.

  Collaborate with Able City’s planning, community engagement, and economic development teams to deliver integrated solutions. Participate in client presentations and community engagement activities as required.

• Professional degree in architecture from an accredited program or equivalent relevant education and experience.
• Approximately 5-6 years of professional architectural experience.
• At least 2–3 years of experience working on multifamily, affordable-housing or mixed-use projects.
• Previous experience coordinating project teams, consultants, schedules, and architectural deliverables.
• Working knowledge of multifamily building types, accessibility requirements, life-safety considerations, and construction methods.
