Position Details
- Type: Permanent, Full-Time
- Location: San Antonio, TX
- Compensation: $315,000 – $351,000 (plus incentives)

- Leadership Role: Supervise physicians, nurses, and APPs while maintaining clinical duties
- Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee outpatient pulmonary clinics, bronchoscopy, inpatient consults, and medical ICU
- Support VA’s educational mission and trainee programs
- Collaborate with administration to achieve patient care metrics
- Work Environment: Blend of inpatient & outpatient care for a predominantly older veteran population
- Team Structure: Lead 11 physicians, 5 APPs, and 4 RNs; collaborate with Respiratory Therapy & Medicine Service Leadership
- Pulmonary Function Testing (including methacholine challenge)
- Interventional Pulmonary Program with robotic bronchoscopy &
lung volume reduction - Robust Lung Cancer Screening Program
- Located in the San Antonio Medical Center
- Strong ties to UT Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA)
