Lead Pastor

Mighty Fortress Church of San Antonio, Texas, a Christ-centered congregation, is seeking a Spirit-led Pastor to guide our church in worship, educate in biblical sound doctrine, spiritual growth, and community outreach. Located in the close-knit west side part of San Antonio, we are eager to grow in faith under godly leadership.

• Preach biblically sound sermons that inspire spiritual growth and discipleship.
• Provide pastoral care, including counseling, visitation, and support for church members and the community.
• Oversee worship services, prayer meetings, and Bible studies to foster a deeper relationship with Christ.
• Oversee all church ministries in collaboration with church ministry leaders.
• Provide leadership in church administration.
• Model a life of integrity, humility, and devotion to Christ.

• Pastor and Family must be in good biblical order according to 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
• A clear calling to pastoral ministry and commitment to Jesus Christ.
• An Ordained Baptist minister within the Baptist faith.
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree of divinity or theology from an accredited bible college or seminary.
• Strong grounding in Scripture with effective preaching and teaching skills.
• Experience in lead pastoral ministry.
• Have a missionary mind-set, with a desire to connect within the community.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for diverse age groups and ministry leaders.
• Dually aligned with the 1963 and 2000 Baptist faith messages.
• Proficiency in English is required. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
