Your role is not to deliver traditional instruction—it is to coach. You will facilitate dynamic life skills sessions, inspire students to meet ambitious learning targets, and cultivate the mindset and behaviors essential for long-term success. You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating one‑hour life skills sessions with K-2 learners, coaching them and reinforcing literacy concepts introduced by Reading Specialists
- Inspiring students to progress through adaptive learning platforms and meet weekly academic milestones
- Guiding emotional self‑regulation, resilience, and critical thinking through consistent routines and supportive interactions
- Monitoring student development and challenges, identifying concerns proactively, and refining approaches in partnership with your team
- Building a classroom environment that balances structure, engagement, and individual connection
Key Responsibilities
- Must be available to work full‑time and on‑site at our location in Chicago, IL;
Miami, FL;
Palo Alto, CA;
San Francisco, CA; or Santa Monica, CA - Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with children ages 4–8 in educational settings, after school programs, coaching roles, or comparable contexts
- Strong storytelling ability and dynamic presentation skills: capable of capturing and sustaining the engagement of young children in group settings
- Capacity to maintain rigorous expectations for both yourself and students, and motivate children to reach their objectives
- Growth‑oriented mindset and receptiveness to feedback
- Authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
