Department of Economics

The Department of Economics in the Carlos Alvarez College of Business at the University of Texas at San Antonio includes a dedicated group of full-time faculty committed to excellence in research and teaching across core areas of economics. Required Qualifications

* A Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field (e.g., Public Policy) by the time of appointment.

* Demonstrated potential for high-quality research that has clear relevance to health outcomes, systems, or behaviors, with a strong focus on applied microeconomic methods.

* A record of-or clear potential for-publishing in high-quality peer-reviewed economics journals.

* Ability to contribute to the department's graduate and undergraduate teaching mission, particularly in health economics and related areas.

* Strong quantitative and empirical skills, including experience with causal inference and large-scale data analysis.

* This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
