Pay: $47–$50 per hour
Hours:
37.5 per week
Schedule:
Monday–Friday
Contract Length: ASAP through End of School Year (Approx. 13 weeks)

We are actively seeking a skilled and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in San Antonio, TX. This full‑time role supports K–5 students in a resource classroom environment, providing specialized instructional services in accordance with student IEPs.
Under the guidance of the Special Education Program Administrator, the teacher will participate in planning, implementing, and monitoring individualized student programs. This position requires strong collaboration with general education staff, effective case management, and consistent documentation.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, individualized instruction to students receiving special education services
- Deliver specialized resource support aligned with IEP goals and state standards
- Manage a caseload of students, including progress monitoring and required documentation
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, support staff, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in IEP meetings, planning sessions, and compliance-related activities
- Offer consultation and instructional guidance to ensure student success across learning environments

37.5 hours weekly - Certifications
Required:
Special Education Certification (SPED) - Generalist Certification, Grades K–5
- Candidate should be comfortable with:
Case management - Documentation
- Collaborative planning
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
- Valid Texas state teaching certificate aligned with district and state regulations
- Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)
- Preferred certifications or endorsements:
- Standard Elementary Teaching
- Standard Secondary Teaching
- Standard Special Teaching
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement
- Adherence to all professional standards of practice
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X‑ray (as required)
- Current health certificate (if required by contract or regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
