Under direct supervision, oversees the creation, updating, and maintenance of course and class data. Reviews course and class additions and changes submitted by schools. Ensures data is accurate and updated in a timely fashion. Understands the impact of changes to courses and classes based on semester, time of year, and type of change and relay those impacts.
ResponsibilitiesMaintains and updates the student database and student academic files in the registrars office. Makes informed updates and changes based on understanding of relationships and impacts. Analyzes problems related to enrollment and grading and updates course and class data appropriately.
Assists with organizing and initiating all student course registrations.
Prepares and verifies the accuracy of transcripts and transcript assessments, attendance, and grades during the process of maintaining and recording all student status changes.
Organizes or assists with outside events such as new student orientation.
Provide consultation & support to members of various departments regarding transcript questions that are student specific.
Maintain student files and ensure confidentiality of information and prepare appropriate dispatch progress reports according to FERPA guidelines.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Knowledge of student information systems including People Soft, Weave Online, Image Now, Web Now, Word Press, and Canvas.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to work across departments, quickly establishing rapport with academic and administrative personnel.
- Knowledge of student recruitment and admissions processes, as well as matriculation and enrollment.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Bachelors degree is required.
- Five (5) years experience in academic administration is required.
