- Location:
Alamo Heights School locations - Start Date:
August 2026 - Pay: $13.00–$15.00 per hour for site staff, based on experience in group childcare or related education field.
- Schedule:
Monday through Friday (no weekends). After‑school shift 3:00 pm–6:30 pm; full‑day on student holidays or school closure days.
- Daily program meetings: review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration and teamwork.
- Plan and facilitate daily activities and curriculum aligned with program objectives; include structured fitness, educational and enjoyable activities for all ages.
- Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain a safe, nurturing environment.
- Prioritize safety by monitoring the environment, addressing hazards and following all safety protocols; document attendance, incidents and observations.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff and school personnel.
- At least 6 months of experience in a licensed group childcare center or school (or 1 year with children under 13 years for the second criteria).
- First Aid and CPR certification (in‑person, obtainable within 30 days of employment).
- Proof of high‑school diploma or GED and aged 18 years or older.
- Clear state‑specific requirements; including tuberculosis test, MMR proof, and mandated reporter training as applicable.
- Ability to lift 25–40 pounds.
- Outstanding customer‑service and relationship‑building skills.
- Excellent communication skills with varied audiences.
- Ability to work flexible hours to support additional local programs as needed.
