The Middle School Science Teacher will design and deliver engaging, standards-based science lessons that build strong content knowledge and critical thinking skills for middle school students. This full-time, on-site role, based in San Antonio, TX, includes planning and implementing daily lessons, labs, and hands-on activities that make scientific concepts accessible and relevant. The teacher will assess student understanding through formative and summative assessments, provide timely feedback, and use data to adjust instruction.
Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with colleagues on curriculum alignment, communicating regularly with families about student progress, and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment. The teacher will also participate in professional development, support school-wide initiatives, and contribute to a positive school culture that supports both academic excellence and character development.
- Strong instructional skills in Science Education with a focus on Middle School learners.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development aligned to state and national standards.
- Effective Communication skills with students, families, and colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience working in diverse, inclusive school communities and a commitment to educational equity.
- Ability to use instructional technology and data systems to support student learning and progress monitoring.
- Strong classroom management, organizational skills, and a growth mindset toward continuous improvement.
