We’re hiring a Kids Director who can build great environments, develop volunteer leaders, and create simple systems that help families feel connected and cared for.

What you’ll own Sundays + weekly ministry- Lead engaging, safe, excellent kids environments for birth–5th grade
- Set team leads and volunteers up to win (clear plans, prep, training, support)
- Choose/adapt curriculum and improve how it lands week to week
- Ensure compliance with child safety and protection policies
- Recruit, train, and coach volunteers and team leads
- Build a leadership pipeline so ministry doesn’t depend on one person
- Create a culture where volunteers feel known, valued, and developed
- Communicate clearly with parents (simple, consistent, helpful)
- Provide resources that equip parents as disciple-makers
- Lead key family initiatives (Child Dedications, Parent Workshops, Kids Camp, Parents Night Out)
- Improve guest follow-up, connection, and next steps for families
- Strengthen transitions between grade levels and into Student Ministry (6th grade+)
- Support inclusive ministry efforts (including a Buddy Program)
- Partner with the Special Needs Director to serve kids with additional needs
- Collaborate across teams to align calendars, strategy, and resourcing
- Build and manage the kids ministry budget (plan, track, adjust)
- 2+ years leading Kids and/or Student Ministry in a paid role
- Proven ability to recruit, lead, and develop volunteers
- Strong communication with parents, volunteers, and staff
- Organized, relational, steady under pressure
- Large church experience (750+)
- Ministry training, certificate, or college coursework (experience can substitute)
- Familiarity with Planning Center Online and Google tools

What success looks like (first 6–12 months)- Sundays feel consistent, safe, and high-quality across all kids spaces
- Volunteer teams are staffed, trained, and supported—less scrambling
- Parents feel informed and cared for
- Clear transitions from kids to students
Salary range: $56,000 – $65,000 (based on experience)
