Job Description

Third Future Schools is a high-achieving and growing network of charter schools. The network’s school in San Antonio, TX, Tafolla Middle School, is seeking a DYAD Media Consultant to lead engaging elective classes for students. Third Future Schools will provide student elective access through DYAD Electives, a specialized experiential learning model for students. This model is designed to build critical thinking, communication, creativity, and other essential 21st-century skills through hands‑on learning experiences.

Students are grouped and participate in elective‑style courses that may include technology, fitness, arts, and other enrichment experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engaging, structured, and experience‑based instruction in media.
  • Develop and provide their own curriculum aligned to the elective they teach.
  • Independently plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects both their expertise and the expectations of the DYAD program.
  • Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment.
  • Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class period.
  • Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations.
  • Ensure students are participating in meaningful, hands‑on learning experiences.
  • Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership.
  • Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction.
  • Use their expertise to connect classroom learning to real‑world experiences.
  • Contribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD program.
  • Create opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate what students have accomplished through media showcases, presentations, displays, screenings, or other demonstrations of learning.
Qualifications
  • Skill, knowledge, and first‑hand experience in media, communications, digital content, broadcasting, or a related field.
  • Ability to work effectively with students in a school setting.
  • Strong communication, organization, and classroom leadership skills.
  • Ability to provide structured, engaging, and experience‑based learning.
  • Commitment to professionalism, consistency, and student engagement.
Job Requirements
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
