Instructor for Nursing (Part-Time) Position Summary
The Ila Faye Miller School of Nursing & Health Professions invites candidates for part-time faculty for clinical and lab instruction in fundamentals, adult health, maternal-child health (pediatrics and care of childbearing family), psychiatric-mental health, medical-surgical nursing, and community health in the undergraduate nursing program. In all matters, faculty are expected to maintain the highest standards of professional ethics consistent with the UIW Mission.
Official duties and responsibilities of part-time faculty members at the University include teaching and professional activities as assigned.
This applicant pool will remain online and be used to hire interested part-time faculty as needed during the academic year.
Essential FunctionsSkills and Abilities
- Ability to deliver instruction both in-person and/or online as needed.
- Ability to effectively learn, use, and incorporate instructional technology into teaching.
- Willingness and flexibility to teach day, evening, and weekend sections as needed.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Master of Science in Nursing.
Required Work ExperienceThree (3) years of clinical practice in the field of nursing.
Preferred QualificationsTeaching experience at the baccalaureate level.
Required Certifications, Licenses or RegistrationsEligible for an unencumbered license as an RN in Texas.
Work HoursBased on the course assignment.
Physical DemandsTypical for faculty in this discipline.
