Department of FinanceThe Department of Finance in the Carlos Alvarez College of Business offers B.B.A. degrees in Finance and in Real Estate Finance and Development.
Our graduate degree programs include a Master of Science in Finance and a Master of Science in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate Finance and Development. Our M.S. Finance programs are included on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's STEM Designated Degree Program list. We also have a decade-old Ph.D. program.
Finance is an applied field that studies how individuals, businesses, and organizations allocate resources over time and make decisions under uncertainty. This includes quantitative analysis of financial markets and financial decision-making using mathematical, statistical, and computational models. Techniques of financial engineering have become indispensable to a wide spectrum of business activities, including investment banking, commercial banking, corporate finance, portfolio management, risk management, insurance, and management and decision-making in the real estate industry.

This position is ideal for a practitioner with deep knowledge of securities analysis and portfolio management who is committed to undergraduate student success.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering the curriculum for FIN 3033, which covers the analysis of financial assets, investment environment, and the risk-return trade-off.
