Primary
Purpose:
To implement and maintain an athletic program that will foster competition, good sportsmanship, and community pride. Contribute to the educational program as a whole to the growth of students involved in athletics.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Valid secondary or all level certification Texas Teachers Certificate Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the employee
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
General knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL rules & regulations) Ability to instruct, supervise, and implement leadership qualities Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to attract athletes to basketball program in grades K-12
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years coaching experience at 4A or 5A High School level

Work outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather) and inside; frequent exposure to noise; frequent district wide and statewide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours; moderate exposure to vehicle fumes and work around moving vehicles Mental Demands:
