Position Information
Open-Rank Professor of Instruction or Professor of Practice in the Department of Biology, Health, and the Environment, University of Texas at San Antonio.
Full time, fixed‑term, multiple positions available.
Salary commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.
Position SummaryThe successful candidate will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in biology or environmental science to support the department’s BS programs. The position has a baseline teaching requirement of four lecture courses each semester and expects coordinated course collaboration with colleagues.
Qualifications- PhD in Biology, Environmental Science, or related field (Assistant/Associate/Professor of Instruction) or MS in Biology/Environmental Science or related field (Assistant/Associate/Professor of Practice).
- MD with relevant clinical experience may also be considered.
- Experience teaching biology and/or environmental science lectures and labs.
- Ability to maintain security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
