Position:
Regional Program Administrator Prelicensure ADN

Position Goal

Provide engaged leadership for the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement of the educational program in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulatory and accrediting bodies, and oversee coordination of specified programs to support student education and retention.

Position Responsibilities
  • Program Administrator
    • Designated nursing program administrator role for regulatory agencies, state boards of nursing, and programmatic accrediting bodies.
  • Outcomes
    • Lead campus prelicensure ADN program academic leaders to meet performance metrics including NCLEX‑RN® pass rates, student retention, completion, graduate employment, faculty outcomes, and fiscal goals.
    • Ensure faculty implement the common curriculum and assessment processes.
    • Achieve goals identified in the College’s strategic plan and annual budget.
    • Facilitate program directors, deans, and faculty in developing and implementing curriculum and systematic evaluation plans.
    • Use aggregated evaluation findings to inform decision‑making for program improvement and share findings with stakeholders.
    • Oversee programmatic accreditation and provide effective supervision for the academic nursing unit.
  • Faculty (Employee Experience)
    • Lead recruitment, onboarding, evaluation, and retention of quality faculty.
    • Ensure faculty are academically prepared, maintain expertise, and exhibit evidence‑based teaching.
    • Assess faculty performance, develop improvement plans when needed.
    • Collaborate with academic leadership on assignment determination, compensation, evaluation, and development.
  • Students (Student Experience)
    • Oversee admission, academic progression, and graduation of students.
    • Develop policies for nursing students that are non‑discriminatory and publicly accessible.
    • Implement procedures for complaint and grievance resolution, and continuous improvement.
    • Submit Certified List of Graduates upon completion of all requirements.
  • Curriculum (Growth and Innovation)
    • Ensure practice learning environments support student learning outcomes and program outcomes.
    • Oversee delivery of quality service to healthcare development program partners and verify compliance with policies and accrediting guidelines.
  • Governance (Impact and Relationships)
    • Facilitate development of long‑range goals and objectives for the nursing program.
    • Participate in program budget preparation and administration.
    • Facilitate governance activities and represent faculty and student interests.
    • Implement recommendations from stakeholders.
    • Co‑administer program development with dean or designee.
    • Create and submit regulatory reports and documentation.
    • Coordinate and foster development of program directors across the College.
  • Position Evaluation
    • Maintain accurate accreditation documents and use Systematic Plans of Evaluation (SPEs).
    • Ensure program outcomes meet or exceed regulatory and accreditation requirements.
    • Use data on completion, licensure, certification, and employment to drive continuous improvement.
    • Analyze aggregate faculty data for ongoing development.
    • Ensure sufficient faculty numbers and preparedness.
  • Position Requirements
  • Education
    • Graduate degree in Nursing and a Doctoral Degree in nursing or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive leadership experience in campus operations and/or nursing education programs.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, project management, and presentation skills.
    • Strong knowledge of nursing education, higher education policy, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
    • Ability to present strategic initiatives to industry leaders and senior management.
  • Licensure & Special Qualifications
    • Per State Board of Nursing Requirements.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Mental activity, reading, planning, evaluating, decision making. Minimal physical demands; occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
    • Frequent use of standard office equipment.
