Lecturer – Part‑Time
Salary Range: $4,000 per course. Job Type: Part Time.
Position SummaryThe Department of Psychology invites applications for a Part‑Time Lecturer to teach Introduction to Psychology at the undergraduate level. This position is designed for qualified educators who are committed to excellence in teaching and student engagement.
Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver effective undergraduate instruction for Introduction to Psychology.
- Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
- Communicate clearly with students and faculty.
- Maintain departmental and university policies related to teaching, assessment, and academic integrity.
- Adhere to the security and integrity requirements of UT San Antonio.
- M.S./M.A. in Psychology or Ph.D. in Psychology or a closely‑related discipline.
- Experience teaching at least one introductory or related psychology course or statistics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, statistical software (SPSS, JASP, R, MPLUS), and online classroom platforms (Zoom, Canvas, Blackboard, Camtasia).
- Prepared to teach primarily face‑to‑face at the downtown campus with flexibility to work on both campuses.
- Ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio.
- Ph.D. in Psychology.
- At least two years of undergraduate teaching experience.
- Prior teaching experience in psychology.
