Regional Instructional Coach(Early Literacy-San Antonio Region)
This role bridges instructional coaching and curriculum leadership, supporting teachers across multiple campuses through direct coaching, professional development, and curriculum implementation. The position reports to the Director of Academics and works closely with campus administrators and school leaders to drive measurable student outcomes.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred - Minimum 5 years of successful K–12 teaching experience, with demonstrated student achievement
- Demonstrated track record of exceptional instruction resulting in significant, measurable gains in student achievement.
- Texas Teacher Certification preferred
- School leadership or Assistant Principal experience preferred
- Deep knowledge of effective early literacy practices, including knowledge of curricula such as UFLI, Heggerty, Amplify, and Bluebonnet.

Instructional Coaching & Teacher Development
- Support campus administrators and regional academic directors in building teacher capacity
- Coach, co-teach, and model lessons; observe teachers and provide actionable feedback
- Monitor and model PLC meetings, including directly leading PLC meetings or guiding campus PLC leaders
- Facilitate team meetings aligned to campus and network goals
- Support the development and implementation of improvement plans for teachers in need of assistance
- Design and deliver beginning-of-year and ongoing professional development
Curriculum & Program Management
- Collaborate to design instructional planning materials (year-long plans, curriculum maps, scope and sequence, assessments, etc.)
- Serve as an adviser to teachers and leaders on the implementation of network-adopted curricula and supplemental materials
- Stay current on developments in early literacy education and recommend appropriate inclusions in the instructional program
- Partner with Student Support Services to ensure diverse instructional needs are met
Assessment & Data
- Partner with the Regional Director of Academics to manage and revise network academic initiatives throughout the year
- Lead the effective implementation of early literacy assessments including mclass.
- Analyze state and network assessment data to target professional development needs
- Directly teach or intervene in short-cycle assignments to drive mastery of specific TEKS in response to data
- Compile and prepare statistical and administrative reports as required
This is a full-time, school-based role (228 days) requiring regular campus visits. Occasional nights and weekends may be required. Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. This role will focus on supporting our San Antonio region campuses, with occasional travel to our Austin region required.
