Position: Coordinator III, Curriculum Support
JOB SUMMARY:

Coordinate and provide leadership in the regional implementation of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and state curriculum initiatives. Oversee the management of local, state, and federal programs within assigned areas, ensuring alignment with educational standards and best practices. Oversee the technical assistance, staff development, and leadership provided to clients in all program areas. Supervise designated staff and support clients in implementing effective programs.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS/ABILITIES

Knowledge

* Master's degree required from an accredited university.

* Valid Texas teacher certification required.

* Five years of relevant experience required.

* School administration/supervisory experience preferred.

* Experience or knowledge in working with required Texas curriculum standards, state assessments, and special program areas.

* Knowledge and experience in adult learning, staff development and planning appropriate staff development to reflect changes in instruction as required by state policies.

Skills/Abilities

* Demonstrated competency in management and supervision.

* Strong organizational skills and ability to meet short deadlines.

* Proficiency with standard functions within applications such as Microsoft 365/Google, (word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software), e-mail, web browsers, and databases.

* Proficiency with computers (PCs and/or MACs) to include file and desktop management and operations, and working in a cloud-based and/or networked environment.

* Exceptions to these requirements will be considered based on exemplary skills, training, and record of success.

PRODUCTS/OUTCOMES

* Coordinate and lead the development and marketing of curriculum products and services that reflect quantitative and qualitative data collected from internal and external clients.

* Coordinate staff efforts in networking with and supporting district staff in assigned areas of responsibilities.

* Establish and maintain internal protocols for documenting the status of all projects, including project timelines and activities, within and across assigned programs and projects and through TEA and/or other state and local entities.

* Ensures effective organization and implementation of curriculum initiatives, fostering collaboration and innovation to support student success.

* Serve as the point of contact with the Texas Education Agency, clients, and the general public for assigned areas.

SUPERVISION AND ORGANIZATION OF STAFF

* Ensure that a comprehensive system of supervision, substantive performance evaluation, and staff development is provided to staff members.

* Recommend a staffing pattern for the department which ensures efficiency and effectiveness in all areas.

* Recruit individuals who best match he requirements for the position and the culture of the Center.

* Provide leadership, direction, and support to assigned staff to ensure timely achievement of department goals and outcomes.

BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY

* Develop, monitor, and manage assigned budgets in a timely, efficient, and fiscally responsible manner.

* Monitor program expenditures to ensure use of funds in accordance with program guidelines and Center policies and procedures.
