Lecturer (Part‑Time)
The University of Texas at San Antonio School of Architecture + Planning invites applications for a part‑time Lecturer position to teach Undergraduate Design Studios and/or theory‑based seminars for the upcoming semester.
Position SummaryThe successful candidate will teach undergraduate design studios (6 credit hours) or lecture‑based courses or seminars (3 credit hours) for undergraduate and graduate students in Architecture, Interior Design, or Urban and Regional Planning, aligned with current curricular directions and the candidate’s areas of expertise. The position provides mentorship and onboarding support, and may include an on‑site office based on availability.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate design studios (6 credit hours) or lecture‑based courses/seminars (3 credit hours) for Architecture, Interior Design, or Urban and Regional Planning students.
- Provide mentorship and onboarding support to students.
- Maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio’s infrastructure.
- A professional or graduate degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Urban & Regional Planning, or a closely related field is required. Licensed or credentialed practitioners are encouraged to apply.
- Evidence of integrating technology into instruction, online teaching, or other emerging technologies is valued.
- Professional experience in architecture, interior design, or planning, including teaching, practice, and/or collaborative research.
Up to $5,000 per 3 credit hours and up to $10,000 per 6 credit hours.
