Founders Classical Academy Online is dedicated to forming students who understand the intellectual, philosophical, and political foundations of Western civilization and the American republic. Through the study of history and political thought, students gain an appreciation for the ideas, institutions, and events that have shaped human civilization.
The History Teacher will guide students through the study of human history with particular emphasis on Western civilization and the American founding. Instruction emphasizes narrative history, primary sources, and thoughtful inquiry into the philosophical and political ideas that shaped societies. Students examine historical events, texts, and institutions in order to better understand the development of culture, government, and civic life.
