Catholic Elementary Teacher

Overview

We are seeking part‑time Teachers to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom for approximately 13–14 hours per week in San Antonio, TX for the 2026‑2027 academic year. Positions are available in 4th‑ and 5th‑Grade classrooms. An applicant does not need a teaching certification or formal teaching experience – we will train you in all needed skills.

• Teach 4th‑ and 5th‑Grade students on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm in a formal Socratic classroom setting.
• Prepare lessons and instructional materials at home before each class.
• Manage classroom behavior and follow RCA standards for instruction and grading.
• Sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and demonstrate a daily living Catholic faith, including receipt of sacraments appropriate to personal state of life.
• Attend mandatory training sessions on August 2, 3, and 6, 2026 (8 am‑5 pm, no childcare provided).
• Undergo background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching.

• No teaching certification mandatory; homeschooling or prior work with homeschool children, ministry in a Catholic parish, or teaching in a classical or private school (not required) may be advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, good organization, punctuality, and a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
• Must be living the Catholic faith day‑to‑day and be ready to commit to Catholic values in all aspects of life.
