High Level Math Tutor Needed!

Part-Time High School Math Teacher‑Tutor at Grade Power Learning Centers – San Antonio, TX.

We are looking for an upbeat, reliable, enthusiastic, dynamic part‑time High School Math Teacher who wants to work in a rewarding teaching environment. Candidates must have a strong background in Math and be comfortable teaching students in grades 9‑12 at all levels, including advanced functions, calculus, and data management.

• Part‑time hours: after‑school and evening (4:00 pm – 8:00 pm) and Saturdays (10:00 am – 2:00 pm); commitment until the end of the term in June preferred.
• In‑person instruction only; must be able to commute to the San Antonio location.
• Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
• Applicants must live in or within a short commute of the San Antonio area.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field.
• Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
• Teaching certification is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of the current 9th – 12th grade math curriculum, including advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and vectors.

• Some experience teaching or tutoring math at a 9th – 12th grade (or equivalent) level.
• Strong English written and oral communication skills.
• Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding.
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.

• Teaching up to three students at a time at different levels.
• Using Grade Power Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Completing post‑lesson notes and daily student communication updates.
• Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times.

Part‑time

$16 – $22 per hour, based on previous experience and education.

• Monday to Friday evenings (3:45 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.).
• Saturday availability (8:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.).
