Education Specialist​/Project Mentor Iii Texas School Coach

JOB SUMMARY

The Education Specialist/Project Mentor III‑Texas School Ready (TSR) Coach will provide consultation, education, and training for implementation of a project to support school readiness for prekindergarten children. TSR Coaches will implement a variety of strategies including side‑by‑side coaching, co‑teaching, instructional planning, and reflective feedback. They will collaborate with the Children's Learning Center at University of Texas Health Science Center Houston (CLI) staff to ensure TSR fidelity.

The TSR Coach travels as necessary to provide coaching, training, and attend meetings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, or related field. Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, or related field preferred.
• Three years’ experience training or coaching adults.
• Three years’ experience teaching preschool children.

• Certificate or license, as applicable, by the appropriate State agency as a qualified practitioner.
• State of Texas vehicle operator’s license and proof of liability insurance.

• While performing the duties of this job, you must be able to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear, and taste or smell.
• You may be able to lift up to 25 pounds, have close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust your focus with good hand‑eye coordination.
