JOB SUMMARY The Pre Teen Pastor provides spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and ministry direction for students in grades4th–5th. This position is responsible for creating and leading engaging, age-appropriate environments that helppreteens develop a strong biblical foundation and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. The Pre Teen Pastor  recruits, equips, develops, and pastors staff and volunteers who serve within the ministry.

This role partners closely with parents, church leadership, and other ministry teams to support the spiritual development and overall well-being of preteens and their families. The ideal candidate demonstrates biblical maturity, strong leadership and relational skills, and a genuine passion for discipling the next generation.

Provide leadership for the church’s preteen ministry, ensuring alignment with the church’s mission, values,theology, and overall ministry strategy.

Develop and lead age-appropriate worship services, teaching environments, small groups, discipleshipprograms, events, retreats, and outreach opportunities for preteen students.

Recruit, train, equip, schedule, encourage, and pastor volunteers and ministry leaders, creating a healthy andsustainable volunteer culture.

Teach and communicate biblical truth in a manner that is engaging, relevant, age-appropriate, and consistent with the church’s statement of faith and doctrinal beliefs.

Build strong relationships with students and provide appropriate pastoral care, encouragement, prayer, and spiritual guidance while maintaining appropriate ministry boundaries and safeguarding practices.

Partner with parents and caregivers by providing resources, communication, and opportunities that equipfamilies to disciple and spiritually support their preteen children.

Collaborate with church staff and ministry leaders to ensure effective transitions and continuity between children’s, preteen, and student ministries.

Effectively recruits, develops, motivates, delegates to, and empowersstaff and volunteers to accomplish ministry objectives.

Communicates clearly and effectively through teaching, preaching, written communication, meetings, presentations, and interpersonal interactions.

Organization and Execution:
Demonstrates strong planning, time-management, administrative, andevent-coordination skills while effectively managing multiple priorities.

Adaptability and Creativity:
Able to understand the unique developmental, cultural, and social needs ofpreteens and create engaging ministry experiences that effectively reach and disciple them.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKThis is a regular full-time position (36-40 hours per week). Evenings, weekends and on-call rotation requiredbased on ministry needs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to do the following:

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout church facilities for extended periods while leading or participating in ministry activities.

Ability to lift, carry, push, or move equipment, supplies, tables, chairs, and other ministry materialsweighing approximately 25–50 pounds as needed.

Ability to participate in and oversee activities that may require extended periods of standing, walking,bending, reaching, or moving between indoor and outdoor environments.

Ability to participate in or supervise ministry activities, games, retreats, and events that may involve varyingphysical environments and activity levels.
