Reporting to the Director for Alumni Career Engagement, helps fulfill one of the University's brand promises of helping individuals pursue lives of meaning and purpose, which will be accomplished by engaging alumni through lifelong learning events and resources, professional networks, mentoring, digital media and marketing (webinars and podcasts), and by building a culture in which everyone knows and believes Tigers hire and help Tigers.

Ensures that staff collaboratively support the programs and strategies of each of the Alumni Relations and Development departments and the overreaching goals of service to Trinity University students, faculty, donors, alumni and programs.

Directs the creation and implementation of professional development programming and career consultation for alumni, with a focus towards graduates of the last decade and early-career professionals, in accordance with Alumni Career Engagement, Alumni Relations, and University objectives.

• Introduces and manages the implementation of new and expanded learning and professional development programming targeted towards graduates of last decade and early-career professionals. Programs include but are not limited to Young Alumni Summit, online professional development forums, and regional career clinics.
• Develops, manages and facilitates production of digital resources and program assets such as the Linked In alumni group and ACE web page. Works in collaboration with Advancement Communication to create social media content consisting of career engagement-related topics and current trending topics.
• Provides 1:1 career development coaching for early and establishing career professionals, focusing on resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, and salary negotiation. Career exploration guidance provided through self-assessments (such as Strong Interest Inventory interpretations), exploring career changes, and plotting actionable transition plans.

• Assists with the management of the ACE alumni career conversation intake. Reviews, answers, and delegates intake requests, including but not limited to career consultation for alumni. Documents initial request, along with activity reports related to intake conversations. Manages bi-weekly reporting of intake requests.
• Assists with reporting programmatic outcomes that track alumni engagement.
• Manages a process to collect and utilize survey, behavioral and other data to improve and refine the program and its offerings.
• Assists in the development and execution of marketing plans to raise awareness of Alumni Career Engagement offerings, in collaboration with the Office of Advancement and Strategic Communications & Marketing.

• Develops, executes and strengthens pathways for alumni-to-alumni volunteer career guidance opportunities. Works with the Director of Alumni Career Engagement, along with campus partners and faculty to optimize existing programs, while developing new opportunities for alumni to volunteer time and career knowledge through stand-alone connections and development of new, scalable program offerings.
• Identifies appropriate alumni, faculty and outside experts to speak at programs; coordinates speaker preparation and program materials.

• Collaborates with the Alumni Relations team in the development and execution of the Alumni Relations' signature events such as Alumni Weekend, River Parade, Holiday Party, etc.

• Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies.
• Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.
• Performs other duties as required.

Required:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Preferred:

Master's degree from an accredited institution.

Required:

• Minimum of two years of paid, internship, and volunteer experience in career consulting/coaching-related or similar work experience in talent management or selection assessment.
• Minimum of two years experience in program development and management at a higher education institution, a non-profit organization or private business/company.

Preferred:

• Three years of experience in program development and management at a higher education institution or nonprofit organization.
• Three years of experience working in an alumni relations program at a higher education institution and/or a nonprofit or for-profit education institution.
• At least one year of experience producing digital learning resources and social media content.
