Youth Development, Pastor / Ministry / Church
Position Summary
GracePoint Church is seeking a passionate follower of Jesus to lead our Student Ministry by helping middle and high school students grow into lifelong disciples of Christ.
This person will build authentic relationships with students and families, equip volunteers to invest in the next generation, and create an environment where students are encouraged to know Jesus, grow intheir faith, serve others, and share the Gospel.
Because we are a small-town church, we believe ministry happens both inside and outside the church walls. We are looking for someone who enjoys being involved in the life of our community—celebrating with students at football games, volleyball matches, livestock shows, band concerts, theater productions, and other school and community events. Simply showing upspeaks volumes and creates opportunities to build meaningful relationships with students and their families.
Our desire isn't simply to build a large youth group—we want to develop young men and women whose lives are transformed by Christ and who become leaders in their homes, schools, churches, and communities.
Build Relationships- Invest personally in students through consistent presence, encouragement, and discipleship.
- Build authentic relationships with students and families throughout the week—not just during church services.
- Be visible and engaged in the community by attending school and community events whenever possible, celebrating students in the places where they spend their lives.
- Create opportunities for meaningful conversations and spiritual encouragement beyond the church campus.
- Be approachable, available, and genuinely interested in the lives of students as they navigate the challenges of adolescence.
- Help students become active participants in the life of GracePoint Church.
- Encourage students to worship, serve, give, and use their gifts within the church body.
- Foster meaningful relationships between students and adults from every generation.
- Help students understand that following Jesus is not just something we do on Sundays, but a way of life that impacts our schools, homes, teams, workplaces, and community.
Success in this role is measured by more than attendance. We hope to see:
- Students growing in their relationship with Christ.
- Students inviting friends and sharing their faith.
- Healthy, engaged volunteer leaders wholove serving students.
- Strong partnerships with parents.
- Students serving throughout the lifeof the church.
- Young people developing into future leaders within GracePoint and beyond.
- Students and families who know their church cares about them because their pastor is present in the moments that matter most—from Sunday mornings to Friday night lights and everything inbetween.
At GracePoint Church, we believe ministry isdeeply relational. We want our Student Ministry Director to be more than aleader on Wednesday nights—we hope they become a trusted presence in the livesof our students and families. Whether praying with a student after youth group, cheering from the stands on Friday night, attending a stock show, or celebrating a band concert, we believe every interaction is an opportunity topoint young people toward Jesus.
If you have a passion for investing in students, building authentic relationships, and serving both the church and the community, we'd love to meet you.
