The college is comprised of eight interconnected academic disciplines—criminology and criminal justice, kinesiology,nutrition and dietetics, psychology, public administration, publichealth, social work, and sociology and demography—as well as the Center for Community Based and Applied Health Research, the Institute for Demographic and Socioeconomic Research, and the Institute for Health Disparities Research.

The Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice is housed within the College for Health, Community and Policy and offers Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Master of Science(M.S.) degrees in Criminology and Criminal Justice, serving nearly1,000 students. Our faculty are recognized regionally, nationally,and internationally for excellence in research and teaching. The department also contributes to the College's Ph.D.Program in Community and Policy, which offers advanced training to address social problems from a social ecological perspective inareas such such as physical and mental health, crime and safety, povertyand socioeconomic well-being, and public policy.
