* Two-hour seminar style courses focusing on great works of literature, history, and philosophy from the Western Tradition.
* Strong and deliberate focus on primary sources.
* Socratic approach and seminar style discussions in the classrooms. Our academies offer the following courses as a part of their curricula:
* Humane Letters I (focused on American studies with a strong history component - 9th grade)

** Requirements for teaching:
*** Bachelor’s or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role
* Certification is not required for general education
