Critical Environment Technician Level 2 – Day Shift (flexible schedule required; may include 12‑hour shifts, rotating shifts, or variable workweeks)
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Critical Environment (CE) Technician Level 2 to support daily operations within a high‑availability, mission‑critical environment. This role is essential to maintaining uptime, ensuring equipment reliability, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and critical infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate brings strong hands‑on electrical experience, follows safety and operational procedures with precision, and thrives in a fast‑paced data center or critical facility environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all tasks required of the CE Tech Level 1 role.
- Conduct daily operational rounds, including logging temperatures, voltages, currents, and other equipment readings.
- Follow and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for critical environment work activities.
- Perform preventative maintenance on:
- Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems (quarterly and annual)
- System control panels
- Batteries and related equipment
- Energize cabinets in colocation environments during maintenance activities.
- Assist with troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and calibrating sensors and instrumentation.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in technical fields such as electrical, controls, automotive, or data center operations.
- Proven experience working with electrical systems in high-availability or critical infrastructure environments including:
- Data centers
- Refineries
- Hospitals
- Pharmaceutical or manufacturing facilities
- Other mission‑critical settings
- Previous data center operations experience.
- Data center operations
- Electrical engineering fundamentals
- UPS systems and maintenance
Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX. This is a fully onsite role.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
