H-E-B is seeking an Energy Corporate Program Manager to help manage a portfolio of energy-related initiatives across its operations in Texas.

The role sits within H-E-B's Corporate Fuel and Energy function and will contribute to corporate resilience, energy strategy, grid management, and energy cost and risk reduction across more than 400 locations.

The Energy Corporate Program Manager will provide strategic input into H-E-B's corporate resilience and grid strategy while managing relationships with utilities, retail electric providers, regulators, and other energy-sector stakeholders.

The role combines energy programme management, regulatory engagement, utility relationships, financial analysis, and energy resilience
. The successful candidate will work across microgrid, solar, natural gas, storage, and other energy initiatives.

The position will also represent H-E-B in regulatory, legislative, and utility discussions and translate developments in the ERCOT market into actionable information for leadership and operational teams.

• Build and maintain programme processes, standards, schedules, and success metrics for energy initiatives.
• Manage multiple concurrent energy projects across H-E-B's Texas operations.
• Coordinate microgrid, solar, natural gas, storage, and resilience work streams.
• Identify and execute opportunities to reduce energy costs and operational risks.

• Represent H-E-B in ERCOT, Public Utility Commission of Texas, utility, and legislative meetings.
• Monitor proposed regulations, market changes, and legislative initiatives affecting H-E-B.
• Assess the potential operational and financial impacts of energy-market developments.
• Prepare talking points, briefing materials, and data summaries for regulatory and legislative engagements.
• Communicate key developments and action items to leadership and the wider energy team.

• Build and maintain relationships with electric and gas utilities and regulatory contacts.
• Co-own retail electric provider relationships and contract strategy within the ERCOT territory.
• Resolve service, billing, and other issues involving electricity, natural gas, water, and propane providers.
• Manage vendor relationships and support energy programme execution.

• Oversee interconnection agreements, installation, operations, maintenance, and performance of resilience systems.
• Support generators, microgrids, solar, and energy storage systems across H-E-B locations.
• Lead decisions involving behind-the-meter generation, storage, and microgrid projects.
• Support system sizing and demand planning.

• Develop financial and market-impact analyses for energy opportunities and proposed solutions.
• Quantify the financial impact of regulatory and market changes.
• Track programme performance and success metrics.
• Prepare regular summaries and executive briefings on programme status, incidents, and market developments.
• Develop and deliver training for facility and store managers.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Economics, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of programme or project management experience.
• Experience in energy, utilities, facilities, industrial operations, or a related sector is preferred.
• Direct experience with ERCOT or another energy market is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects or programmes involving budgets, staffing, and vendors.

• Strong understanding of energy markets, utilities, or energy infrastructure.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
• Ability to evaluate the financial and operational impacts of energy opportunities and regulatory changes.
• Understanding of energy resilience systems, including microgrids, solar, storage, and generation, is valuable.
• Strong project and programme management capabilities.
