The Telecommunications Engineer II is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise voice and data networks, including PBX/VoIP, WAN, and MAN systems. The role provides technical expertise in network operations, capacity planning, system integration, and performance monitoring. The Telecommunications Engineer II collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure network solutions that meet business needs.
Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate the future state of enterprise voice and data networks.
- Design network solutions aligned with the organization’s IT strategy.
- Analyze network configurations and provide recommendations to improve performance and efficiency.
- Integrate system components, ensuring minimal disruption to existing systems.
- Implement proactive monitoring, updates, and maintenance processes.
- Maintain certifications and current knowledge of voice and data network technologies.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to technical staff as needed.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and third-level support escalation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in managing enterprise voice and data networks.
- Experience in PBX/VoIP, WAN, MAN, call routing, and network performance tuning.
- Must be legally authorized to work in [Country/Region].
